Project Wearinsect

sect is a virtual space curated by trylon and vanchaaa. it functions as a sustained environment for collective thinking about practices of everyday life, which often remain 'invisible' and 'unnoticed'. it developed as a response to our need to create a kind of virtual platform for meeting and 'mingling' of its creators and everyone who happens to find some kind of pleasure here.

the title developed as a result of playing with different associative terms, and in some ways it is our manifesto in the shortest form:
wear (wear, dress up; a typical practice of everyday life)
we are (a verb that refers to the existence, the entity)
e (short for 'electronic', an allusion to the media that we use)
insect (a small creature as a paradigm of almost invisible, indiscernible, but still very much present and in the wider context very important - existence)
in sect ('the sect' - an allusion to the idea of this blog space as a space of gathering and joint thinking and reflection)
we are in sect (we are in-sect; sect = sustained environment for collective thinking)

sect je virtualni prostor kojeg kuriraju trylon i vanchaaa. funkcionira kao (p)odrzavajuca okolina za kolektivno promisljanje o praksama svakodnevnevnog zivota, koje cesto ostaju 'nevidljive' i 'nezabiljezene'. nastao je kao reakcija na nasu potrebu za stvaranjem svojevrsne virtualne platforme za susret i 'druzenje' njegovih kreatorica sa svima onima koji se pozele zadrzati ovdje.

ime je nastalo kao rezultat poigravanja razlicitim asocijativnim pojmovima, i na neki nacin predstavlja nas manifest u najkracem obliku:
wear (nositi, odijevati se; tipicna praksa svakodnevice)
we are (glagol koji upucuje na postojanje, na entitet)
e (kratica za 'elektronsko', aluzija na medij koji koristimo)
insect (malo stvorenje kao paradigma gotovo nevidljivog, nezamjetnog - ali ipak i te kako prisutnog te za siri kontekst vrlo bitnog - postojanja)
in sect ('u sekti' - aludiranje na ideju o prostoru ovog bloga kao o prostoru okupljanja i zajednickog promisljanja)
we are in sect (mi smo u sect-u; sect = sustained environment for collective thinking)
